- .RJ - 03-22-2006 Hypereutectic only refers to the type of piston, i.e. what its made out of. And, piston coatings arent legal for Honda Challenge or IT racing. - Evan - 03-22-2006 .RJ Wrote:And, piston coatings arent legal for Honda Challenge or IT racing.like that would stop you   - .RJ - 03-22-2006 *ahem* *whistles* - Jeff - 03-22-2006 Hypereutectic pistons are usually coated, they look whiteish. TD people never use them, I forget why it is bad. RJ, you know the most about what you are doing so I will stop asking questions now. ROCK ON! RJs Race motor will be the N/A bling. - white_2kgt - 03-22-2006 TurboOmni08 Wrote:Hypereutectic pistons are usually coated, they look whiteish. TD people never use them, I forget why it is bad. They come stock in mustangs up to 03/04. Basically between reguar pistons and forged. Hypereutectic is the process used to cast them. They blow for an engine that is used hard and a BIG nono in forced induction areas. .RJ, where are you getting your vinyl at? - .RJ - 03-22-2006 Some of it I got from edecals, and the rest from signs by tomorrow in fairfax. - Maengelito - 03-22-2006 white_2kgt Wrote:.RJ, where are you getting your vinyl at? if you're getting black, hook me up with a small scrap - white_2kgt - 03-23-2006 Maengelito Wrote:white_2kgt Wrote:.RJ, where are you getting your vinyl at? I don't think I'm getting any anytime soon. I just ordered a few numbers and letters. Just wanted to check on pricing elsewhere. - .RJ - 03-25-2006 Finished up the exhaust work today - at the last event of the year I went topshelf out of the toilet bowl at shenandoah and dented up the header: ![]() ![]() So I went down to see Dave (SMS Products) to have him fix it up for me and make me a new, more lighter, more louder exhaust Cant even tell the header was hurt I should have taken pix of dave doing his thing, but his work is quite impressive.![]() ![]() Multi-piece bling! ![]() Old n' busted ![]() The new hotness
- Dave - 03-25-2006 that's hot. I didn't think your car was really all that loud, so now maybe it will actually sound like a whiny HC car :-). - .RJ - 03-26-2006 After much fiasco and parts swapping (main relay, ecu, ignition coil, entire dizzy, plugs, wires) I found that connector we used to tap the ignition coil wire for the kill switch had come apart - argh. Once that was fixed she fired right up Its very loud, and sounds very, very pissed off. H4, watch the fxck out!
- Mike - 03-26-2006 because loud = fast.... right? - .RJ - 03-26-2006 http://tubas.net/~ryanj/MVI_3334.AVI (right click, save as) - JustinG - 03-26-2006 that sounds way to deep for a honda, im very impressed what size tubing???
- Feersty - 03-26-2006 Did you spraypaint your wheels white? - .RJ - 03-26-2006 2 1/4" pipe on the exhaust. - Nis01 - 03-26-2006 That thing got a HEMI?... ![]() Sounds very intimidating RJ. Very nice. - lyltoy - 03-26-2006 sounds really good
- .RJ - 03-27-2006 Ok, so is there a secret handshake for CV boot clamps? Those goddamn things are a pain in the ass - I put new das boots on my spare axles. And to top it off, Redline CV2 smells like pure, concentrated vomit. Ugh. - Andy - 03-27-2006 .RJ Wrote:Ok, so is there a secret handshake for CV boot clamps? That's a good question. When I was rebuilding my CV joints, I had terrible time getting those god damn clamps to tighten. I ended using channel locks, and prayer before I got them to tighten sufficiently. Or you can just say fuck and using big ass zip ties though they need to be checked often. |
