Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - SlimKlim - 02-09-2015 I loved it, but I think Vince Gilligan could make a 5 season drama about paint drying and I'd find it interesting. The cinematography was great through the whole episode but the B&W beginning was excellent. I interpreted the beginning scene to be where Saul ended up after the events of Breaking Bad, looks like he ordered a new dust filter for his Hoover Max Extract® 60 Pressure Pro™ if you know what I mean. But yeah I'm already hooked, can't wait to see what happens tonight. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - Sully - 02-09-2015 Season 5 episode 15 of breaking bad. Saul mentions what his best case scenario is after the fall out. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - Goodspeed - 02-11-2015 I have the BCS episodes DVR'd, just haven't gotten to them yet. Looking forward to it though. Does anyone else watch Banshee on Cinemax? This third season is amazing so far. It's just well shot & acted pulpy violence and action (and boobs). A non-spoiler scene from S3E2: Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - Sully - 02-11-2015 I've been thinking about posting this somewhere but there's a new show called kart life on Trutv. Think dance mom's but with karts. Idk why I watch it but it always seems to be on when nothing else I haven't seen already is on. It's not great from an actual Motorsports aspect. More about kid and family drama at the track but I'm still kinda surprised that they have a kart show to start with. Was it just me or was walking dead and bcs both plagued heavily with lots of filler. Walking dead seemed worse. I understand a little of how it made the story better but it seemed like most of the episode was commercials or that loop of scenes we had already seen from the previews. Then the second night of bcs was good for the first 15 minutes but then it got kinda boring again and there was that really really long Montage of him doing cases. I understand what they were showing but it seems like they used quite a bit of run time to do it, like it was a little bit excessive. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - JPolen01 - 02-11-2015 I really enjoyed the second night of BCS. The montages are the quintessential part of what Vince Gilligan loves and I enjoy them as well. The music is always spot on with the actions of the scene. Think back to BB when Walt and Jesse were cooking - the montage of them cooking batch after bactch. In BCS it showed how Saul went from being a shitty public defender to getting his groove back after he saved the gingers and getting re energized to go and fight cases. I was skeptical after episode 1, but I am definitely hooked and will continue watching. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - SlimKlim - 02-11-2015 What he said. I tried to get Lauren into Breaking Bad but she'd zone out into her phone for 20 minutes, then glance up at the screen and complain she was lost. I couldn't convince her that this is a show you need to watch to fully appreciate, it's not a sitcom. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - Sully - 02-11-2015 Yea i completely understand why they are important. I think I was mostly just pissed off from walking dead which seemed like 7 minutes of new story content, 25 minutes of those like 5 scenes that they actually showed most of in previews leading up to the show, and 28 minutes of commercials. It's also though transitioning from back logged episodes to one episode a week. This is the first time I've watched walking dead like a normal viewer Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - JPolen01 - 03-02-2015
Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - CaptainHenreh - 03-02-2015 Is one of the most popular shows around a "guilty pleasure", polecat? It's like calling Game of Thrones a guilty pleasure. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - JPolen01 - 03-02-2015 I feel like this thread has turned more into a TV show thread. I don't know. Binge watching it for hours is my guilty pleasure ya buttmunch. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - HAULN-SS - 03-02-2015 Started season 3 over the weekend..its kind of meh so far Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - Apoc - 06-09-2015 I've taken to collecting super lightweight, low profile $100 watches.
Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - WRXtranceformed - 06-09-2015 Whoa ho there you go! Very nice. If you like the slim, minimalist look and don't like to pay a ton for a good watch, check out Brathwait watches: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="https://brathwait.com/">https://brathwait.com/</a><!-- m --> Slim, swiss quartz, italian calf leather and sapphire glass for under $200, on a NATO strap for $150, automatic for around $350 (it's a Jap Miyota so I probably wouldn't pay the premium for it over the quartz). I may add one to the collection for another dress option in the near future, at that price point you can't go wrong. ![]() ![]() Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - SlimKlim - 06-09-2015 ^ That first one is right up my alley. I love Skagens, I know they're just a domestic brand masquerading as a "danish watchmaker" but I really like their style, and you can't complain about $100 or less for most of them. I haven't worn mine in like a year since the puppy latched onto the band and tore it right off my wrist. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - Apoc - 06-09-2015 SlimKlim Wrote:^ That first one is right up my alley. Check out this site: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.jomashop.com/skagen.html">http://www.jomashop.com/skagen.html</a><!-- m --> They do flash sales - I've gotten both mine for ~$85 when retail is $130-$160. They don't always have everything, but I looked about once a week for a month or two to get my current one. For all I know they're fake, but I don't really care because they look identical and have held up. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - SlimKlim - 06-09-2015 Dammit. I've been eyeballing this one, but I don't need to spend $80, even if it is a good price. http://www.jomashop.com/skagen-watch-skw6103.html Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - .RJ - 06-09-2015 SlimKlim Wrote:I love Skagens Same. I have 2 of them.... for the 10 days a year I wear a watch. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - WRXtranceformed - 06-09-2015 I can second Jomashop, they are absolutely legit and some of the best prices you can find anywhere. I have bought 3 or 4 watches from them over the years, and just bought the Blue Angels Citizen from them. A buddy of mine just bought a $5k Breitling through them as well. They are not an authorized distributor which is why the prices are cheaper, meaning the watches don't qualify for the factory warranty. That is why they put their own warranty on top of every watch and I have heard they are pretty good about taking care of any issues that come up. They have always handled my customer service requests very well. Check out their sister site <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.jomadeals.com">www.jomadeals.com</a><!-- w --> as well. Every day they have 3 different watches (sometimes also weird stuff like handbags) that are on crazy discount. It's one of my go to sites after I wake up for my morning constitutional. Re: Guilty pleasures... you know you've got them! - Jake - 06-09-2015 Hmm, this is good to know. I like what you posted, Lee. My Skagen is holding up well but the band is very worn, and it doesn't appear to be replaced easily. Might be time for a new watch and that site is right up my alley, price-wise.
