Sorry, it's done. Played out. Unless you're John Travolta, the only thing you should be doing to a Model B (or similar) is lovingly restoring it to as close as original as possible. Not chopping the roof and making it longer, and putting some big block from a '73 chevy fullsize pickup in the front. :roll:

While I don't agree 100% with Rex, I agree that one looks "stupid as hell". It's to modern to be a rat rod and it just looks weird. It looks even dumber on the track/auto cross.

Completely immaculate '95 540i M-Sport, a US only model with all the chassis bits of a Euro M5 but a 4.0L V8 instead of an I6. 1 of 135 manuals sold, 1 of 5 hellrot, the only one with dealer installed hurricane interior. :bow:

There's just something about a small, fun to drive car that you can use like a little van. Especially up here where trucks and SUVs look like St. Bernards trying to fit in a cat bed. The thought of replacing the GTI with something more grown up has crossed my mind, but I can't think of another car that can take a set of wheels and a section of exhaust to the shop, then let me drive like there's a bee in my pants on the way home.
