I am sticking with discs. I still trade in games and put the total towards a new game, or the least get an Amazon giftcard. If digital content was cheaper I wouldn't hassle with physical discs.
In regards to DL onto other peoples consoles, yea that can take a while. But not that bad, I probably had Killzone DLd in 45 min, with 40-50mbps internet speeds.

Yeah I buy discs so I can trade them in as well. Picked up CoD yesterday, played only the MP and it seemed pretty cool. More "vertical" than prior generations...meaning there is a lot of jumping, hovering, shooting from on top of buildings. Definitely a different dynamic and kind of cool.
The Destiny gods must have heard my cries yesterday, because late last night I crushed the raid with another group and got Kabr's arms and chest to drop! The last two pieces I need to hit 30. Might keep me around this game a little longer, but doesn't take away the saltiness about random drops to progress your character. Bungie must have listened into my mic convo's and figured that I would quit the game if I ended up with another 30 ascendant materials from the raid haha
So should be level 30 as soon as I can level out this gear...then will definitely be playing more CoD since there isn't much to work toward now other than weekly strikes and raid.

I bought Titanfall on a disc and that was annoying because we use the XB1 as a Blu Ray player. I bought Destiny as a download 'cause I figured I'd play it for awhile - not sure if that's true, but I don't miss getting up to play it. COD is def gonna be a disc 'cause I can't see that lasting much more than a month or two. I still think Titanfall is the best game made since Black Ops; sad it didn't really last that long.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection anyone? I feel like that'll be something decent to fill in the gaps when there are lulls in releases. I was hoping Destiny was gonna be that, but it ain't. I'd still like to beat the raid, but after that I'm over it.

Chris, no Halo for me. Agreed, Titanfall has been the best next-gen game for me. I forget why we stopped playing. Is that one where you didn't get it for like a month after it was released? That keeps biting your ass. Quit that shit. I think we may have stopped playing because while fun, gameplay was the same thing over and over again.
I buy downloads because I don't like fiddling with discs. It definitely costs a good bit more in the long run since the consoles are young/I'm trying just about every game to find one that will hold my attention. Luckily, with downloads, there's a little trick to swapping your "home" console with a friend and you get access to everything the other person owns. It's strictly a 1:1 relationship, but it makes games half price. I suppose that evens the playing field with disc?
And yes, downloads can take a long while. It seems random for me. Sometimes I'll get something to blast through, but CoD took almost a full day. I've got 28Mbps down. Luckily, they download progressively so you can play before the game is fully on your system; I was playing single player at 25% complete.

I hopped on Titanfall recently and it doesn't feel like the overall skill levels have increased. You're safe and I'd play. It's all about scheduling for me. Except for this week; she's working late and I've been playing from like 4PM to 11PM. Of course you're out of town

I don't have my usual weapon loadout equipped, I'm trying to max out Hard Light, Patience & Time and Pocket Infinity now...usually I roll with a maxed Suros Regime, maxed The Supremacy and maxed Corrective Measures. But here is how my Titan sits.

Raid crushed on hard mode, definitely significantly harder than on normal. We had 5 Lvl 30s and one 29, still wiped a good number of times on Atheon. Mostly due to execution, we had plenty of DPS. No awesome loot to report this time around, got arms and sniper I already had and Atheon gave me a legendary ship.
Mostly done with grinding until the next expansion, should give me time to beat COD!

Jumped into CoD multiplayer last night - I enjoyed it. I was warned everything was frantic, and that's true, but I don't feel it overwhelming at all. You have to get used to working on three axises; it wasn't much of an adjustment after playing a good bit of Titanfall. Working through a bunch of Exo (Zombies, but really smart) helped, I think. I like that they've capped buildout slots at 13, so you have to be smart about kit even if you're a level 50. I think this balances the game somewhat and prevented me from getting wrecked too terribly. The guns feel really solid and the EXO slots (instead of just grenades) is a nice touch. They're all about timing (e.g. small health boost) and can make the difference in a toe-to-toe firefight. As always, I prefer the Domination to Deathmatch... probably because it's easier to earn killstreaks. With the Support perk on killstreaks and streak points awarded for capturing in Domination, I managed to get five perks in a game last night. Current K/D is 0.65, which is better than I expected, and I even had a few 1.0+. I wonder if/how that will go up as I learn maps. Overall, I like it and can see myself playing for awhile.

Far Cry 4 is amazeballs btw. It is the next-gen game I've been waiting for. A lot of folks complain that it isn't too different from 3, but I didn't play 3 so it's fresh and awesome to me.

Picked up a used copy of Dragon Age: Inquisition for like $25 after trading in CoD. Don't know how much play time it will get in the near future with the Destiny DLC dropping tomorrow but my first 10 minutes in seemed cool! haha. My brother also got me Far Cry 4 for Christmas apparently so that should be really fun too per Mike's comment.
In the Destiny world, have two 30 titans with maxed out raid / exotic armor and weapons (other than Mythoclast
still no luck getting that to drop from hard raid wins). Definitely ready for new content / gear...it sounds like they are making some much needed updates including a potential buff to Titan defense / armor.

I rarely, if ever, play games online, probably won't even buy a subscription to Playstation Plus or whatever right away, so factor that into your recommendations.
I also like the looks of Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, and the new Assasin's Creed. Too many choices.

Then no, don't buy Destiny, but if you aren't planning on doing a PS Plus subscription, I don't think you are gonna get much out of the PS4. Seems like a lot of content needs PLUS to do anything. But I have always had it, so not sure exactly what you would miss out on.
