The flatnose lives! All hail das flachtbrau!

Of course they're only making 77 of them and the base price is $800k (which I'm sure will be like $1.5 millions with markups and flippers). But fuck if this isn't dope.

It's very cool, but I'm not really feeling the modern day slant nose at all.

On a serious note...what is the point of this car? They are only making 77 of them and they cost $800k so it's unlikely they will field a racing class. HPDEs for the rich? Collecting dust in a collection somewhere?

It's a track day special like the McLaren Senna, Laferrari FXX K, Aston Martin Vulcan, etc.

A little column A, a little column B.

Seems like a number of Senna buyers are tracking them, and with the Ferrari FXX program a good portion of the very small number of buyers for those cars take them to the Ferrari Corsa Clienti track events.  After that track participation drops off a lot, but then again I've never been to the private country club style track days.  Maybe that's where rich guys drive these kinds of cars.

As an investment, only really Porsche and Ferrari are sure fire for a non-street legal car.  Most collectors don't really chase the non-street legal stuff.  It seems like the demand for that kind of car is heating up rapidly and I fully expect this 935 to be trading at 2x MSRP in no time.

They'll be taking fake deposits for them through third party bank accounts in no time

What I wanna see is some rich guy park one of these in a vault while never taking off the shipping covers and having his estranged idiot teenage son Ferris Buellering him.

Was this the thread where we talked about crazy ole Musk? This wasn't a huge surprise:

Can't say I'm a fan of the lower grill, looks predator-ish to me. But maybe in M3-guise it'll win me over. Either way, not a disaster at least.

Automotive News Discussion - JustinG - 10-01-2018

I dig it. I'd assume that's the msport bumper.

I like the fact the nav screen is inset into dash more.

You'd think they would pick better wheels for press shots. Ewwww.

Needs more touring

RE: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 10-01-2018

Sides look kinda soft and sad to me, but with some beefcake fender flares it should look really good.

Yeah those wheels are doo doo.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - .RJ - 10-01-2018

Is this finally the 3-series where the manual gearbox dies? Probabru.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - *insertusernamehere* - 10-01-2018

RE: Automotive News Discussion - Goodspeed - 10-01-2018

Man, I really feel like the last 10 or so years of car design are going to be looked back on in the future with the same derision that we remember the 70's/80's malaise era for performance. We're forced to split hairs here over what's less-ugly than what - nearly every non-$$$ sports/super car (and even then, most of those too) that's been posted about here is just straight ass in terms of looks. That MB isn't as awful as the BMW but that isn't saying much. Sad!
