2.4L? psh. 1.5L 4cyl is as least as relevant today as it was in the '80s, we could make almost 1000hp/L then, no-one complained about the sound, and we liked it dammit.

Mustang GT500 to have 500 hp, but weight 4200 lbs?

Don't know where that extra 400 lbs is coming from but I'm sure people will be tripping over their mullets to buy these anyway.

New Z4 dropped, the German Supra:

RE: Automotive News Discussion - RawrImAMonster - 08-23-2018

The new Z4 looked bad on my phone, even worse on my monitor. Wow that's bad.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - V1GiLaNtE - 08-23-2018

Looks. Basic. Actually, I take that back. It looks like a bloated Fiat 124

my reaction too.

Except it makes the Fiat look good by comparison.

Let's put them side-by-side because Jesus Crust they are so similar up front:

It looks like they literally copy pasted the front of a 6 series gran coupe on the already existing z4. That's terrible looking.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - Beej - 08-23-2018

Man all the other Z roadsters had at least somewhat bulgy fenders...where did they go?

RE: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 08-23-2018

Don't know how BMW missed the mark so badly on the Z4's styling. All of the previous Z4's looked way better than this one.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - Ryan T - 08-23-2018

I like it.  Undecided

RE: Automotive News Discussion - BLINGMW - 08-23-2018

Ya I think it looks fine too. But yes, just like the Fiat.

Cafe standards are out. Replacing all plastic with iron is in.

+1

The kidneys look elongated, but still better than the Fiat or a Miata, IMO.

Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 08-23-2018

Better than the Miata? You cray

4200 lbs is scary heavy I hope that's not the real weight

That sucks, always liked the Z3/Z4 models. That's just not working for me. The front looks so wide that it messes up the length / width proportion of the car I loved.

Okay that's kinda nasty.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - Goodspeed - 08-24-2018

I can't wait for the over-styled, cuts 'n angles, angry headlights design language to become extinct.

Speaking of, I saw a ND RF the other day in black and that was a seriously good looking car.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - rherold9 - 08-24-2018

ND RF :puke:. Looks so bad.

I honestly don't think the Z4 looks terrible but for sure does not look great. All of these manufacturer's are going for a pointed down, scrunched up look on the front end/hood. I get it for aero efficiency but they could at least make it nice looking...
