But actually I think the distinction is that Obama is not doing the whole, a-president-you-can-drink-a-beer-with" populism, but the, I-came-from-a-humble-background populism. I don't particularly have a problem with either approach just as long as said candidate has an intellect and understanding of issues that is better than the average person. I don't think McCain or Obama have a problem with that.
