Go skins! Todd was mediocre at best, but the defense played great. I'd like to give the defensive MVP to Brandon Jacobs for having 9 passes defended.

Lamon Ladry - damn he's good but damn is he stupid. Young Sean Taylor reincarnate?

- WRXtranceformed - 12-17-2007

Landry was doing really well too, except for the shit talking that got the Giants a field goal.

- John - 12-17-2007

My point exactly. He did that the other week too. Sean Taylor did the same crap early on as well...

except Sean Taylor didnt stand around flat footed in deep left field until a play came his way.

F Dallas for losing. Now we have to hope GB loses a this coming weekend.

Not if the Cowboys win. They control their own fate... time to start playing a full game on both sides of the ball.

F Chicago for losing as well.

I don't really care about that game, it's in two weeks against the saints that I really hope the bears come to play.

So the playoff picture is pretty straight forward. The skins need to win out (@ MINN, DAL) and one of two things needs to happen:

1.) The saints need to lose one of their final two games (Philly, @Chicago)

or

2.) The Giants need to lose their final two (@Buff, Pats). We then catch them and win the tiebreaker with a better NFC record. (or some other tiebreaker... I don't really remember)

I know the giants won't beat the Pats, because they'll be playing for an undefeated season (I highly doubt the dolphins beat them next week). So it comes down to the Bills game next week in that scenario. I also think the saints could lose to philly, and could struggle in the cold at chicago. So next week I'll be rooting for the Skins, eagles, and bills. Weird. :?

fuuuuck this is turning out to be exciting!

it's also reminding me of just how shitty the Redskins are. If we hadn't lost two division games at home where we lost 4th quarter leads we wouldn't be in this mess. Or.. you know.. that head coach who called two timeouts back to back.... assclown.

- Kaan - 12-19-2007

sean taylor and cooley in the pro bowl!

- Hunter - 12-19-2007

I'm ok with where the skins are right now. Sure, they could have won a bunch of the games they lost, but look at it this way: If you had known about all the injuries and tough times this team has had to go through, what would you guess their record would be?

They have been through a ton of significant injuries:

Jansen missed all but about one quarter.

Thomas has played maybe 6 or 7 quarters.

Moss has missed a few games.

ARE has missed a game.

Sellers missed a couple games.

Rabach missed two games.

Thrash missed a few games.

Campbell misses the last four games.

Washington missed a couple games and was banged up when he played.

Springs and Smoot have been banged up and each missed games.

Rogers is on IR.

McIntosh is now on the IR.

They've had to give McCardell and Caldwell, who weren't even on the roster in Auguest, significant time at WR.

And, oh, Sean Taylor, their best overall player was murdered.

After all this would you have thought we'd be 7-7 and in the playoff hunt right now? I would have guessed we would finish the year at 4-12 or 5-11, and it makes me think that Gibbs has done a better job with this team than we give him credit for.

- Apoc - 12-19-2007

So you guys should be rooting for Dallas and Chicago this weekend then?

- Evan - 12-19-2007

eagles and buffalo

- Apoc - 12-19-2007

If the Cowboys get home field, maybe they won't play starters in the final week. Root for them.... go ahead... you can do it!

- Kaan - 12-19-2007

for dallas to lock home field... greenbay must lose this week and dallas must win... if GB doesnt lose and they win out, dallas must also win out. Expect Dallas to play their starters for every game.... at least its good for fantasy football!

- Apoc - 12-19-2007

I think it's possible for GB to lose one of their final games but I certainly have no expectation of that. I have this feeling that Dallas will go 1-1, GB will go 2-0 and Dallas will be going to GB for the NFC Championship... if they don't blow the first game.

- Kaan - 12-19-2007

well i think dallas will rebound this week... but the skins are playing pretty good ball... and the game is in washington, so its going to be a tough game to win for the boys!

- Apoc - 12-23-2007

Well I'm guessing the Cowboys won't play their starters next week and NO is fixin to lose. The Skins still gotta beat Minnesota tonight... should be a good game.
