RE: Automotive News Discussion - G.Irish - 07-06-2018

If Tesla falls apart tomorrow, it's not going to stop progress. Someone would probably buy the carcass and keep things going. Even if not, the established players are gonna keep the game going. Especially now that China is committed to EV's in the future.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - .RJ - 07-06-2018

The company will keep going for sure.

If Musk implodes himself, investors will put someone far more boring in charge and innovation will slow down, IMO, riding the wave of the plans already in motion. Maybe this brings Tesla out of a niche product, or maybe it condemns them to that corner forever, who knows. The market is fickle.

Stealing artwork
Strange behavior in investor calls
Executives with a revolving door
Shitty working conditions for the factory

Plus the hyperloop distraction, all the combative behavior on twitter, and the inflated market (stock) value of tesla, relative to its profits... who knows.  I dont think as a business they will fold, but I think they are in for a rocky ride still.

My $.02

Sounds, to me, like Elon is the perfect candidate to be our next president.

I love Singer but I think they are clearly out of their mind here. The car is beautiful and the engine is something from another planet, but for $1.8 million? No thanks.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - .RJ - 07-13-2018

I'm guessing this one was paid for up front.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 07-13-2018

It was a commission, but they plan to allocate 75 more.

Musk calling someone a pedo
Musk calling someone's boss who criticized the company and threatened to sue

He's basically silicon Trump right now.  I bet he gets removed by the adults in the room by the end of the year if this keeps up.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - JPolen01 - 07-25-2018

Yeah he has really gone off the deep end on social media in the last 2 weeks. I think he needs a social media timeout.

Corvette C8.R spy shots. This car is making me reconsider my car future:

If you're gonna sell your soul to the devil, you might as well go all the way.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - HAULN-SS - 08-09-2018

That looks bad ass. Will this have a base price anywhere near the top end of current vettes?

RE: Automotive News Discussion - Steve85 - 08-10-2018

Daaammmmnnnnn!! It's probably too much to ask them to bring it to VIR next weekend for display? I mean, it's in camo and all, but they seem to have invited automotive photo journalists to the infield of RA for their "secret" tests.

RE: Automotive News Discussion - CaptainHenreh - 08-10-2018

So...is Chevy building an NSX, but right? And calling it a Corvette?
