Re: Cars that get you all hot and bothered - Beej - 02-11-2013 Oh shit a white one. Re: Cars that get you all hot and bothered - ScottyB - 02-11-2013 how 'spensive are these LS-swapped 5 series wagons? my brain says no, but my man parts say yes. Re: Cars that get you all hot and bothered - SlimKlim - 02-12-2013 They say you need at least $10k to swap one into a miata or E36, I would assume roughly the same thing for an E39. You could probably get a donor car for $3-4k, and then you'd drop another $5k or so on wheels, suspensions, bushings, and nice cosmetic bits, because the 525i non-sport you used for a donor would definitely not look like one of those things on the previous page. Re: Cars that get you all hot and bothered - Goodspeed - 02-18-2013 Daily driven, 9-second CTS-V ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Quote:This is actually my 3rd CTS-V and easily the most enjoyable car I've ever owned. Fully optioned car, AC Recaros, auto, suede everywhere, the works. Full weight, quiet on the inside while cruising, all options still in the vehicle and working. Stock short block/trans/driveshaft/rear end, all that stuff is still present. Its actually a very basic build up that works great for daily driven use! This thing still uses the stock fuel pumps, lines, everything in the stock fuel system with the exception of ID850's. We've managed to get 17mpg out of it with mixed highway/city driving, on a regular basis due to my driving its around 15mpg realistically though, which for the power and luxury IMO is great. Re: Cars that get you all hot and bothered - JustinG - 02-18-2013 Minus the dumb ass skinnies on a DD, that car is full of win. Awesome build though. The cam is annoying, or the exhaust is too loud for ya? Two different things. The symphony emitting from the tailpipes of that car may be a little loud and obtrusive to some because of the sewer drain sized exhaust piping and basically no mufflers...but the sound of an American V8 doing it's thing with a high lift, long duration cam is music to my ears. 32V concerto  Re: Cars that get you all hot and bothered - WRXtranceformed - 02-21-2013 fiveoh2go Wrote:That's what I'm talking about right there. I love a fast and loud LS engine like the next guy, but nothing sounds better than a cammed Mustang with an aggressive exhaust. Cars that get you all hot and bothered - JPolen01 - 02-23-2013 Maybe you didn't notice the widebody. I think it's saw to assume the motor isn't stock. Edit afe*

With that kind of panel gap? I don't think it's saw to assume anything. Cars that get you all hot and bothered - JPolen01 - 02-24-2013 Uhh use your new LASIK robot vision to check out the recessed gas door. Re: Cars that get you all hot and bothered - JustinG - 02-25-2013 Also looks like 2 different shades of white. And the panel gap on the front bumper is worse than the hatchpile, which is fastened by zip ties. -Justin Member #2 of the Jon Polen Hater Club Re: Cars that get you all hot and bothered - Mike - 02-26-2013 JustinG Wrote:Also looks like 2 different shades of white. And are those my zipties or do you have to replace them every other time you drive it on the street?
