Ok so lets say I expect to be bored this afternoon and want fun FPS(maybe 3rd person) for the 360 that I can get for <$20-30 off the pre-owned rack at GameStop. What do you guys suggest? I'm not into the hardcore stealth/strategy stuff like Splinter Cell or MGS, I need more instant gratification.
Crysis 3? Mass Effect 3? Halo 4? I've never played any of the games in those franchises (except getting buttraped in halo multiplayer)
Gears of War 3? I remember playing the original and thinking it was pretty cool.
Has anyone played Watch Dogs? Was that any good?
I dunno, maybe I'll just pick up another copy of Skyrim because my xbox ate mine and start a new story line or something.

Skyrim, you can pick up the entire Mass Effect trilogy for super cheap and you will enjoy it, although those are both more RPGs than FPS. Any of the old Call of Duties if you haven't played them (added bonus of multiplayer, BO2 was the best in the most recent versions for mp in my opinion), any Gears of War games, and any of the Bioshocks are all incredible.

I think that's the benefit of having a balanced fire team. The AoE of the titan super is nice when you're being swarmed, but was basically useless against Sepiks Prime and the Walker. (except to clear out the cannon fodder around them)
It might make some stuff too easy but I really wish we could group up with more than 3 people. It's going to suck when we're all online and want to play together.

Yeah I've played my fill of COD games, and I played Bioshock Infinite which was freaking awesome.
Maybe I'll do Gears of War, or I was just watching a review for Dishonored and that seems pretty cool.

Bioshock Infinite was the shit.
I just bought Tomb Raider, Witcher 2, and Dishonored for 5 bucks a pop on the steam sales a couple weeks ago.
Played through tomb raider and it was good. Working on Witcher 2 at the moment. Haven't started dishonored yet, but I've heard good things.
Edit: And also, yes, fuck Call of Duty. I swore I wasn't going to get the last one and I did because all my friends got it. Only played it for a few weeks. Not happening again.

Tomb Raider was awesome. I didn't like Witcher 2, it feels like 10% of Skyrim.
I just watched a review for Far Cry 3 and that looks pretty sweet too. Man, I've missed so many good games that I'm spoiled for choice when i do want to pick something up. Maybe I'll just let the GameStop dude sell me something.

I only played for a little bit last night. Wanted to do a little bit of the story then drop by the tower before signing off. I went with the Warlock this time.
Not really sure what unique benefits of the Warlock are yet. The Warlock melee is a sort of an energy blast that pushes back anything in front of you so it's useful when a group of enemies is rushing you. The Warlock jump is a sort of jump and float. I guess it's good if you want to avoid a Titan super or hang in the air for a few seconds to shoot at something but I didn't find it to be as useful as the double jump.
I'll play with the Warlock for a few more levels, then I'll make the call on whether to switch.

I went with Far Cry 3 and let the GameStop dude sell me Borderlands 2. I've heard a lot about that game but never checked it out, and the guy practically got a stiffie when he was telling me about it, so I think I'll fire that up first. I'm loving that the 360 is old news now, there are so many games for $10-15 that I haven't played yet.

Borderlands is the shit. Both 1 and 2. One of the better first person shooters to come out in the last few years.

Half day Fridays at work so I'm starting over with another titan. I sessioned for a while with my hunter but I think he's pretty much capped out other than I need a set of green arms. I had so much fun with the titan I'm hoping to have him level 8 by the time you guys get on tonight :p

Found a glitch and camped it for a while, made around 2500 in glimmer / loot in like half an hour haha...I tried it again about an hour later and it worked off and on. I hope they don't fix it before it goes live

Interesting article about why Bungie separated each platform. It definitely shows that they have really thought this game through to make it the best possible experience for everyone, even if it is looking at perception vs. reality scenarios:

OMG we totally have to try that when the beta comes back up. I don't know why I got such a big kick out of fucking with him while knowing I had no chance of killing him. Now that we do have a way to kill him...
The thing about cross-platform play is that while it'd be cool, it'd probably take a lot of effort to make that work and chances are it wouldn't increase sales enough to be worth it. If someone wants to buy the game, they'll buy the game. I can't imagine there's anyone out there like, "Fuck this game if I can't play on my PS4 with my friends on 360."
