Ok, Dave and J Ray, and anyone else from JMU- would leaving at 4pm on Friday work? I'll know the worker schedule soon, but I'm assumning we could help with tech around 6. Getting there around 5 would give us time to check into the hotel and drop off things at the track.

Lets meet at Chasers again (at the Days Inn near I 81).

Also, if anyone else is riding up with us on Friday, speak up so we can be sure to have space.
Can we make it ~4:30 so I don't have to rush around too much to get my shit together?
John and Jess, you want to hop off at 245 and caravan with us?

4:30 is fine with me.

Yeah we can probably manage that. Where exactly are we meeting you folks? ISAT gravel lot like the olden days, or is there some new "cool" spot that all you kids meet

Unless specifically asked to show up Fri to assist they won't need you till Sat AM. Not that extra hands aren't welcome, but they aren't required. Show up anytime you want Fri evening and you'll be good to go.

Chaser's at the Days Inn right near I 81. Its just easier since its right next to 81.

Those of us that will be showing up for Saturday, when should we roll in to work that morning?

- Dragon - 09-14-2004

Drivers meeting is typically at 7:45, first car on track 8:30, so show up anytime around 7:30 or earlier in order to meet up with us and figure out where you'll be.

the worker spots are already full. If you come up Sat, its just to spectate and see what we do.

- Dragon - 09-14-2004

That's right, and please don't just show up and ask someone else if they need help and get them to sign your log book.

- Ginger - 09-14-2004

Thanks for the heads up, I'll be there regardless.

I don't have a logbook for anybody to sign in the first place Smile

yeah everyone is more than welcome to come out and see the track. We guarantee a good time, just bring some rain gear... DAMNIT :x

Oh by the way... those driving- you might want to get some new wiper blades like I did. I hope there are some dry sessions so I can really get a feel for the car.

- Dragon - 09-14-2004

Thankfully Summit has cover at Grid, I get the feeling that my underlings will be doing most of the checking while I stay dry under the cover.

Best "feeling" you can get is in the wet. Seriously, you learn a lot more in the wet than in the dry as long as you already know the track fairly well, which I think you do.

- Sijray21 - 09-14-2004

yeah i agree on the 4:30 thing. i have class that ends at 3:30 and i'd like a little time to get everything together. If not dave and i will roll up later.

- .RJ - 09-14-2004

Fuck wipers, use Rain-X.

Summit point is very fucking slick in the wet and there is about 8 different kinds of pavement and sealer and concrete all over the track.

You're better off going slightly off line in 3, 4, 9 and 10 and staying off the sealant in the carousel in the wet (you'll have to come in early into 6 and drive straight across it and go in late for 7 to do this).

- Mike - 09-14-2004

Drifto out of 1!! Weeeeeeeeeeee!
