- .RJ - 07-29-2004 Yeah, like someone complaining about someone else speeding really has an accurate representation of how fast they were going.... - Sijray21 - 07-29-2004 granted i wasn't supposed to be traveling that fast, they didn't have a posted speed limit sign until after i passed him. He was going about 60mph, which i doubt he told that to the officer, when i passed him. I thought the speed limit was 55mph. This was one of the first times i drove up on skyline drive and when i went up the previous day it was dark and i didn't see any posted speed limit signs, i thought it was 55 or atleast 45 or something. I wasn't going 75 though, that's what the police officer said after he talked to he guy  . i was probably going about 65 when i passed him though, it wasn't a fast pass. My guess is that my exhaust (still had it on at the time) made him irritated enough to snitch me to the cops. I couldn't believe he flagged them down though, i was shocked. I thought they were going to nab me up for going 42. on the main note: how long does it usually take to get down to VIR from Nova? Average time? - Mike - 07-29-2004 4-6 hours. depending on traffic. - Dave - 07-29-2004 are we grillin this weekend? - Maengelito - 07-29-2004 Dragon Wrote:That's why I find it funny when people warn you about cops in a certain area, uh if you follow the speed limit within a reasonable amount you have nothing to worry about. only reason i warn you guys about 29 specifically because "reasonable" around madison and greene county (ie: no out of town revenue) means something completely different than nova. personally i try not to go 4 over in those areas and the local paper said people in louisa (where i've gotten 2 tickets) kept complaining about local police pulling people over for going 26 in a 25. - Mike - 07-29-2004 Dave Wrote:are we grillin this weekend? if maeng brings the grill.... i can bring coals. we can get meat down there. - Maengelito - 07-29-2004 MichaelJComputer Wrote:Dave Wrote:are we grillin this weekend? done - Kaan - 07-29-2004 BRING THE GRILL!!!!!!!!!!! i'm bring'n the typical! - .RJ - 07-29-2004 Sounds like a clusterfuck - Dragon - 07-29-2004 As usual - white_2kgt - 07-29-2004 on 29 watch it between Gretna (30 miles S of Lynchburg) and Danville. They love to sit there. You are generally OK between CVille and Where RT6 intersects. -c - .RJ - 07-29-2004 Finally ready.... time to go gas up the car and get to sleep.
