Wow I would really love to play this copy of Titanfall that is spinning in my XB1 right now. Except XBL is not allowing sign ins and you can only be signed in to XBL to be able to play the game. A title screen....very reminiscent of the "beta trial"

Night 2, still not able to log on. XBL works now but Endless loading loop, can't get in. It's even causing our router to reset itself somehow. I also didn't realize this was basically only a multiplayer game. ..Didn't research it because I just assumed there would be a 1 player game. Gotta be honest I'm pretty unhappy with the games / system so far. Really surprises me that everything has sucked so bad. If Destiny ends up sucking I may sell everything and switch over to PS4 if it's any better

Sounds like maybe you have a router problem, not an XB1 problem.

My router and modem are both brand new within the last year. This is a widespread problem apparently from what we were reading last night. Unless you had a fios connection most people weren't getting into games

I cannot see how your XB1 would make a router reset itself. Seems to me like your router is failing. I had one fail that was about 16 months old; it kept resetting and requiring clients to renew their IP.

Being new/old doesn't really mean that much with electronics. Some new electronics shit out in a few months and sometimes old ones will run for decades (literally).
I would agree with the bad router diagnosis. The xbox shouldn't be causing the router to reset.
Edit: At one of my old jobs someone told me a story of a computer that accidentally got walled in during some sort of construction. It was still on and connected to the network and everything. It stayed on and ran without any problems for close to 7 years and was only discovered when they were doing a network audit and couldn't figure out where that machine was.

I'm not saying Titanfall/XBL isn't also having problems, but if your router is resetting itself, then there is probably something wrong with it.

I will have to ask Rachael if she is noticing it happening during the day. That is the first time I have noticed it even with online gaming until now.

Still no luck actually getting into Titanfall. I'm pretty sure it's not my router because I had no problem logging into the CoD servers and getting set up into a game.
Tried uninstalling / reinstalling the game, hard reset my XBOX, reset my modem and router and no luck.

Router ports opened, static DNS set per an EA forum recommendation, nothing is letting me connect to Titanfall. EA wants me to sign up for some awful Origin account before I can get advanced help. This game is going back today and my Xbox will probably sit unused until Destiny comes out later this year. If there are issues with that game or it plain sucks the xb1 is going up for sale and it might be my last foray into the future of gaming. I don't have the patience for stuff like this anymore especially now that it's getting warm and I would rather be outside golfing / shooting guns / etc. with the free time I have.

Sounds like you should try to warranty your Xbox. Or buy another, see if it functions any better, and return it once you've figured out your cause.

In other news, TF is the best game I've played in a long, long time. They've done a really good job of balancing pilots/titans and the kit upgrades help you dial in on your playing style. It's probably because I suck, but I never felt like COD did much but give me more of something I couldn't really make use of. Things like rodeos a titan and blowing it up with my sidearm make the game fun, even when I'm playing terribly.

Agreed. I can't even put my finger on what is so good about it. It is just good all around and I can't stop playing. I'd like some more meta-game (seeing friends stats, leaderboards, other fluff), but I'd imagine that will come. They clearly spent their time making the game aspect great and didn't get around to the fun extras. I'm okay with that.

I've heard reviews on polar opposite ends of the spectrum. Some say it's incredible and some say it's really really disappointing. From the videos I've seen and the reviews I've read, the fact that it doesn't play in 1080p is pretty suck imo. Gameplay wise it kind of reminds me of Unreal Tournament, which isn't at this point exactly groundbreaking. The fact that I can't even try it myself to find out is super super suck.
I did go ahead and preorder the new Wolfenstein for nostalgia's sake, but that doesn't come out for another month
