Specifically have you visited foreign countries and met foreign leaders? ArenÔÇÖt you conceited to be seeking this high level job? Questions about foreign policy -territorial integrity of Georgia -allowing Georgia and Ukraine to be members of NATO -NATO treaty -Iranian nuclear threat -what to do if Israel attacks Iran -Al Qaeda motivations -the Bush Doctrine -attacking terrorists harbored by Pakistan -Is America fighting a holy war? [misquoted Palin] Questions for Obama(3 months ago): How does it feel to break a glass ceiling? How does it feel to ÔÇ£winÔÇØ? How does your family feel about your ÔÇ£winningÔÇØ breaking a glass ceiling? Who will be your VP? Should you choose Hillary Clinton as VP? Will you accept public finance? How did you ask out Michelle http://newsbusters.org/blogs/p-j-gladni ... -interview http://www.upi.com/news/issueoftheday/2 ... 221234472/ the media mudslinging smear campaign on Palin to make her look clueless (since they couldnt find any real dirt, had to make stuff up) has been in full effect ever since she came on to the scene and scared the shit out of the liberals. I expect this kind of political mudslinging from the democrats, but such blatant bias coming from "news" sources that many people trust is disturbing and undermines our political process. - Hunter - 09-30-2008 That's because if you ask Obama the same questions you'll get reasonable responses and then you end up with an interview that nobody wants to watch. It would be incredibly boring. He's answered questions like that before in speeches, debates, and press conferences and proven he has a stance on those issues. On the other, when a candidate comes out of left field and virtually never talks to press, they have to ask these because nobody knows where she stands. If the McCain campaign hadn't been hiding her away, inaccessible to the media for the last month, I'm sure the interview would have been much different. These tough questions would have been previously answered at press conferences, and everyone would already have an idea of Palin's competency. When you don't allow your VP candidate to talk to the media, it looks as if you're hiding something, and you bring the tough interviews on yourself. - Apoc - 09-30-2008 I think I want Obama to win just so Evan can be (more) angry for 4 years. - Evan - 09-30-2008 Hunter Wrote:That's because if you ask Obama the same questions you'll get reasonable responses and then you end up with an interview that nobody wants to watch. It would be incredibly boring.you're kidding right. I seriously, honestly hope you are joking. If you're not, please drain the koolaid out of your bathtub, dry yourself off, read what you wrote again, and honestly tell me that you think that a potential leader of this country during one of the toughest times in a century doesnt need to be asked real, relevant questions to this country because it might be boring. Knowing "How did you ask out Michelle" is much more important. Obama has not answered tough questions, he has not provided detail on his policy, he has not justified his voting record, he has not been held accountable on his background and he has not proven his experience other than as a stirring orator and motivational speaker. But at least we know how he asked out Michelle. - Hunter - 09-30-2008 I'm not saying Obama doesn't have to answer those questions, he obviously does. But anyone with the internet can pull up quotes and stances on Georgia/Russia, NATO, Al Qaeda, Pakistan, etc. for Obama, McCain, and Biden within a couple minutes. Nobody knows anything about Palin though, she's an unknown. These interviews are all about ratings and you're kidding yourself if you think otherwise. Palin had the opportunity to come out and be confident and knowledgeable in interviews and put to rest a lot of the knocks on her ability, but it just hasn't gone well. If she aced the interviews, McCain would have looked like a genius and the tough questions wouldn't be coming so frequently. But now, everyone wants to see Palin get asked tough questions because they don't think she can handle it and it gets ratings. Also, using one interview to compare the kinds of questions that are asked doesn't mean anything. A large percentage of the country though Barack Obama was a Muslim when that interview happened and it was meant to be a personal interview, not one to determine ability to lead. He agreed to do interviews with Bill O'Reily, who has certainly shown a bias or two in his day, and he looked a hell of a lot better than Palin did with Katie Couric. Just because you ignore his answer to the questions doesn't mean he didn't answer them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJH2n4aF ... re=related - JackoliciousLegs - 09-30-2008 Thanks Hunter. Evan, be real. I know you must be rooting for McPalin for ideological reasons, but you are way too smart to be fooled into thinking that she's as fit to lead this country as Obama. You can argue that she has more executive experience since she was a governor for a bit... but that's about as far as it goes. Like it or not, she came off as an idiot spouting talking points word for word during the Couric interview. Compared to that interview where Obama actually set papa bear straight a few times, the Couric interview seemed like a COMPLETE slaughter. I cannot express the level of disdain I'll feel for the American people if they allow someone of that exceptional caliber into the 2nd highest office in our country. I'm embarassed that Schwarzenegger is my governor, but at least he's just a governor. Bush isn't too smart, but at least he's not a complete idiot. Palin is not smart enough and doesn't have enough life experience to be the leader of the free world. Sorry. PS. Can't wait for the VP Debate. Not because I anticipate a slaughter... I just want to hear her talk more. - rezarxt - 09-30-2008 Im a McCain guy which doesnt come as a huge surprise since Im in/will be in the military when I graduate. I think Palin was a mistake honestly. She is too conservative for me since I am pretty moderate. I also think she is too religious to be a VP. Religion/politics shouldnt mix in this day and age IMO. But I can see her bringing in a lot of the really conservative voters who actually care about things such as gay rights and abortion. - WRXtranceformed - 09-30-2008 I really don't care either way because I think our country is fucked no matter which set of crooks enters the office right now, but if McCain becomes president, he's likely going to die before his term is over since he's old as shit and has had like 4 heart attacks... and then Palin would be our president and we would be royally fucked. If that bitch became president I would seriously consider packing up and leaving. - rezarxt - 09-30-2008 WRXtranceformed Wrote:I really don't care either way because I think our country is fucked no matter which set of crooks enters the office right now, but if McCain becomes president, he's likely going to die before his term is over since he's old as shit and has had like 4 heart attacks... and then Palin would be our president and we would be royally fucked.
