thanks man....yeah i think what i meant was that i didn't want canards....i like the STi splitters, been keeping my eyes out for some.

its hard to keep subaru aero stuff in check, with so many splitters, lips, canards, spats, strakes, diffusers, scoops, vents....haha Tongue i get confused.

Car looks great Scotty. Nothing changes the appearance of these cars like front splitters and a front lip. Really gives an aggressive edge to the front end with minimal difficulty. To add splitters to that front bumper I believe you will have to make some cuts for it to clip in correctly... only downside of the addition.

- WRXtranceformed - 01-28-2008

Ahh yeah that's a good point, I remember having to make some cuts also for the clips to hold it in. It's not hard, just takes a little time.

i did not know that...thought they used different attachments. oh well, it would be worth it, they look sweet.

p.s....just checked your sig, no mo STi?! Confusedhock:

i'm gonna second (or third or eleventh or whatever we're up to now) that the front lip and STi splitters make subies look awesome. BJ sold me his front lip and although its low and i scrape on like every parking lot entrance, it still makes the car look much better.

oh yeah, and some hella supertones... i just installed a pair last night. them things is LOUD!

Definitely worth the work to add them in. I think brand new with hardware they are $30.00 each. You have to watch out for the used ones because most likely the back clips got broken off to remove them. You would have no problem since you have that whole art thing going for you. In my case I might put them on upside down or something.

and yea.. the Subie is officially gone. Between the money investment of upkeep of the car and time required to keep the car going with track/auto-x abuse it was interfering with more than I could accept. I am working on getting something MUCH cheaper and MUCH slower. Tongue Plus I like not slowing down for speed bumps.

Well I actually do plan on following the route of the MAIC crew by adding a miata to the stable. Now its just finding one.

(end hijack +1, sorry Scotty.)

^^ i'm sure you'll enjoy it, and cheap = more seat time!

so i got my falkens on last night, the RE92's had 36k on them and actually still had another 8k or so left in them but the sidewalls were dry rotting and the rubber was hard as a rock...but hey not bad for "140" treadwear rated tires Tongue

the FK452's feel much different of course but i was really impressed with the wet stability. i hit some huge puddles on the way home in a torrential downpour and the car never budged. the ride quality is much better and the noise is less as well. i'll have more performance observations once the tires scrub in and i figure out some good tire pressures. overall though i'm pretty happy so far for such a bargain tire.

Sooo..moral of the story - should I get them for my legacy?

do you have a snow vehicle? if not, no. they are summer tires.

- HAULN-SS - 02-02-2008

Im pretty sure I will by next winter

if that's the case, then i think they might warrant your consideration. i can't back up any real driving observations yet though, since i only have like 100 miles on them. i'll let you know if i find some problems.

i had grand dreams of de-SUBARU'ing the trunk until i found out how miserable peeling adhesive off a trunk can be. i hate that crap, took me like an hour and a half. but my inner ricer is so satisfied!

- WRXtranceformed - 02-16-2008

Looks good bud!! If you're still wanting to remove the S U B A R U, a little advice from someone who's done it a bunch and cursed many times: hit it with some Goo Gone or other adhesive remover, let it sit, warm it with a hairdryer then take a paper towel wadded up and rub it back and forth over the adhesive really fast. It warms it even more and balls it right off.

- ScottyB - 02-16-2008

argh, i really should have asked you first Sad

- Nis01 - 02-16-2008

I've acquired quite a few blisters from debadging but goo gone/tar remover and some means of heating the glue makes the whole process much easier.

Looks good Scotty.

- ScottyB - 02-16-2008

thanks fellas. i was workin some GOO GONE in there but all it did was make my skin smell like oranges (insert "your doing it wrong" picture here)
