Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - ViPER1313 - 04-16-2018 Full paint match. RE: Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - .RJ - 04-16-2018 matte RE: Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - JPolen01 - 04-16-2018 Gloss black. I like the matte the most, but like you said the grills won't match. Fully paint matched is way too much going on. Edit Actually looking at the pictures again, I think the matte will look fine with the gloss grills. Matte. RE: Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - Steve85 - 04-16-2018 My favorite is bottom half color matched but I'm leaving mine matte. It came matte so I'd have to pay to have it painted and worry about the paint getting pretty beat up in short order and not looking good. Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - JustinG - 04-16-2018 I am really feeling the Matte or Gloss. Painted options are out. Being a lip, the first time it scuffs on an incline I'll die. I think I'm just gonna go Matte, and then try my hand at 3m wrapping it in gloss black if I'm unhappy with the Matte look. RE: Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - V1GiLaNtE - 04-16-2018 Matte RE: Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - WRXtranceformed - 04-16-2018 Keep that carbon wrap train going and do that entire thing. CAREBONE ALL OF TEH THINGS Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - JustinG - 04-16-2018 I feel faux CF is ok inside the car, but outside should be real CF RE: Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - WRXtranceformed - 04-16-2018 (04-16-2018, 10:27 AM)JustinG Wrote: I feel faux CF is ok inside the car, but outside should be real CF I can't find any fault in this logic Still needs more carebones Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - JustinG - 04-16-2018 I could go this route.... It's only 3x the price of the m perf rep. ![]() But the thought of trashing a carbon lip makes me sick to my stomach RE: Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - JPolen01 - 04-16-2018 ^Unless show car, not worth the carbon tax. RE: Project: AWD Turbo Family Hauler (PART DEUX) - Apoc - 04-16-2018 Assume you're going to whore it within a week. Not worth it. Decided I liked the Dual Slat (m3/4) knockoffs. Fit is good, some minor flaws in the finish. If they start to get f'd, I'll actually drop the coin on the Genuine BMW grills. ![]() ![]() If anyone attempts this, I was able to use a trim tool, reaching through the grill to disengage the clips. Some tutorials just say to pull hard, or unbolt the top half of the bumper and pull it out a bit. But I was able to avoid brute force and unbolting things. If you have fat hands and hotdog fingers you may have issues. |
