Lol no worries. I think we all have done that. You hear a phantom squeal and take off the wheel only to find 50% pad left.

I owned the Tacoma for 5 years and never once looked at the front brake pads despite meticulous care (for a Pickup)

Jeff made me a good offer that was contingent on my delivering the truck to him in Woodstock. So, Tom and I took it down on Saturday morning, Jeff gave it a quick once-over, and we left with a check in hand. It'll end up on the pre-owned lot at Woodstock Garage shortly (if it isn't already).

I had the truck for almost two years and put about 25k miles on it. I did oil changes according to the dash computer - worked out to every ~7k or so - and put brakes on it when the pads ran out. Spark plugs and trans fluid were done around 60k miles, preventatively. One tire needed a plug after going flat, late on a Sunday night. Otherwise, it treated me very well.

It towed several cars, tackled an off-road trail, and did donuts on a beach. I would wager a guess that this truck got used for more trucky things, completely stock, than most "built" trucks ever will.

The Range Rover is kickass, but I will miss the F-150.

It also tackled an insanely muddy rally cross course at VIR or so I heard...

I forgot about how much theoretical fun that was.
