Re: My Dumb 99' XJ Low Rider - ibjeepin95 - 10-03-2015 So the final decision as of tonight is to fix the 8.8, sell it, and build a 9 inch. Make you a deal, Cabell... Re: My Dumb 99' XJ Low Rider - ibjeepin95 - 10-16-2015 Bought a 31 spline 9", got to pick up my 4.88 center section with a spool. I'm all that spooled life. You got any shop suggestions out your way who does gears? I'm thinking the XJ is going 4.56 this winter.. Re: My Dumb 99' XJ Low Rider - ibjeepin95 - 10-16-2015 Go 4.88. And I could find someone to gear it. Re: My Dumb 99' XJ Low Rider - V1GiLaNtE - 10-16-2015 4.88 Just seems too deep for highway driving. Re: My Dumb 99' XJ Low Rider - ibjeepin95 - 10-18-2015 You won't hardly notice the difference. The difference for me between 3.55 and 4.88 (which I ran both with 35's) was not near as dramatic as I was expecting. If anything, a little depressing. I would love to go to 5.38's on 35's. Re: My Dumb 99' XJ Low Rider - ibjeepin95 - 10-18-2015 Seriously, if I was in your shoes, 4.88's would be the way to go. It'd be worth it to do now for when you go to 35's. Re: My Dumb 99' XJ Low Rider - V1GiLaNtE - 10-18-2015 I missed your phone call. I owe you response. Let's talk bizness. Just need to find a person to regear front to 4.88.
