GTA V will probably be the first game I buy in awhile and most likely the last 360 game I buy although I doubt I'll upgrade to the one for several years. At least one year.

So I am probably 8 hours into ME:3 and I really really like this game. It doesn't have the drudging monotony that those types of RPGs can sometimes have (some of the Fallouts) and I like that you can either progress through combat quickly or slow things down a little to do crowd control. It's one of the best examples of a balanced system of weapons and player classes as well. There are definitely better weapons than others but even the strong weapons are balanced enough that you don't feel uncomfortable equipping a few others. I think I chose the Vanguard? class which is pretty beast but I would like to play through it again as a Sentinal or one of the more pure caster classes. I also enjoy the fact that you make enough money in the game to be able to buy and try all kinds of upgrades & weapons...it's not like some games where you make a big purchase, find out your big purchase sucks donkey dong and you spend the next 3 weeks rebuilding your bank. Being able to reset your player abilities is a nice touch too...I never feel like I made a bad chance when leveling up my character because you can always reset a power if you don't like using it.
As far as the annoyances, they are pretty few. I experienced a few glitches in which a zone cleared out after a load when it wasn't supposed to, etc. In my opinion the purposely planted references to gay marriage are kind of unnecessary and pointless to the storyline and the game. I think I remember laughing and saying "how PC" out loud during a side conversation on the Normandy with my shuttle pilot talking about his husband/lover who got killed by the Reavers. I get enough socio-political dialogue through the news and social networks, I have no desire to hear about the sexual preference of the guy who is about to drop me in middle of a Cerebus hot zone. Sometimes the number of quests that continue to surface can get a little overwhelming too. Just walking through the Citadel and hearing side conversations can add another 5 quests onto your already ridiculous multi-world workload. I know you don't have to do all of them but I love completing a game all the way through as completely as I can.
Overall I am definitely happy with the purchase for the $18 or whatever I spent on it and I might actually play it through twice after I beat this one~

Didnt even pay enough attention to know the expansion was getting close. I burned out on D3 way faster than D2. Auction house kind of ruined it for me but I havent checked any patch notes or anything to see if they have made any changes there.

Expansion hasn't been announced yet. He may have been talking about the console releases.
A few things of note since diablo 3 released:
- Jay Wilson (game director) got moved off the project
- Paragon leveling (another 100 levels after you hit 60, you get a magic find and stat bonus)
- Blizzard has admitted the auction house was a mistake, hopefully this means they'll get rid of it in the future. It won't be in the console versions.
- Blizzard has talked about adding a ladder season to diablo 3
- Big itemization patch coming in a few months. They are completely redoing items to make legendaries more interesting and get rid of the bland itemization as it currently exists in general
I'm sure I'm missing more stuff.
I'm really hoping blizzard can fix their mistakes with the expansion and itemization patch. Diablo 3 was a big disappointment compared to Diablo 2.
