- .RJ - 06-26-2007 You can check bump travel in the garage - jack the car up, take off the wheels, set it down with jackstands on the lower control arms as close to the hub as possible - measure how much shock travel is available. Measure the spring length... jack car up, and measure spring free length. You should be able to find the coil bind point by looking at the spring catalog on the eibach website. Edit - on the racekaaa I had 2.25" - 2.5" of bump travel, and with 6" springs it was just under the coil bind limit. - D_Eclipse9916 - 06-26-2007 white97dsm Wrote:navin Wrote: Yep thats me! - ScottyB - 06-26-2007 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:Yep thats me! when did you put that hood duct on there? it looks sweet! - D_Eclipse9916 - 06-27-2007 Sorry, I really dont update my thread on my car, theres always things going on... That was done the week before the event, also a 63mm bored out throttle body with redone seals, new inner and outer tie rods. Bunch of small things here and there. Ordered cams and have a 20g turbo sitting in my house waiting a rebuild along with a tial 40mm wastegate with o2 housing built for external wastegate and o2 dump. - Goodspeed - 06-27-2007 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:Ordered cams and have a 20g turbo sitting in my house waiting a rebuild along with a tial 40mm wastegate with o2 housing built for external wastegate and o2 dump. - CaptainHenreh - 06-27-2007 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:Ordered cams and have a 20g turbo sitting in my house waiting a rebuild along with a tial 40mm wastegate with o2 housing built for external wastegate and o2 dump. D - D_Eclipse9916 - 06-27-2007 *sigh* actually they will make the car more reliable at the same power level....Cams will reduce knock up top and let the engine breath, and the 20g will produce a lot less heat at the same psi as the 16g, and I will be running the 20g at only 15 psi instead of the 18psi I have been running in my open track days (yep didnt even turn down the boost), so I will be making around the same power, just at a much lower temperature and much easier on the engine. Plus I got them for a ridiculous price, you dont want to know........ - Andy - 06-27-2007 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:*sigh* actually they will make the car more reliable at the same power level....Cams will reduce knock up top and let the engine breath, and the 20g will produce a lot less heat at the same psi as the 16g, and I will be running the 20g at only 15 psi instead of the 18psi I have been running in my open track days (yep didnt even turn down the boost), so I will be making around the same power, just at a much lower temperature and much easier on the engine. We're bored at work and making fun of people is how we get through the 9-5. - .RJ - 06-27-2007 D_Eclipse9916 Wrote:I will be running the 20g at only 15 psi instead of the 18psi I have been running in my open track days Until you turn up the happy knob

It's aluminum. It failed which led to loss of steering heading into T3. The subsequent off allowed me to gather up about 10lbs of genuine summit point gravel. So if anyone is interested, let me know and I'll mail you some. On the other hand, it was the most exciting 4 laps I've ever had at SP.

FYI-Rims make shitty friction surfaces. - Maengelito - 06-28-2007 Andy Wrote:The subsequent off allowed me to gather up about 10lbs of genuine summit point gravel. I met that guy (light blue M3) at the gas station on the way in and he's a total asshat. Apparently he's also no longer instructing. - Mike - 06-28-2007 yes, yes, and yes. |
