It was nice meeting everyone that I havent met before, and even more of a pleasure sharing the track with all the MM'ers in Group 1..

I had a GREAT time this weekend. A lot of that is due to the good people from Madison Motorsports who drove with me in HPDE1. A couple douchebags (ie Mr. New York) not withstanding.
We all seemed to learn a lot (Congrats Chris on making group 2!) and I can't wait to see everyone again next season. I don't BELIEVE I have to wait months to race (er, drive) again!!! :evil: :evil: :evil:

Had a good time as always, despite the dismal lack of track time for the instructor groups. I got the car down to a 1:29.3 this morning, so I met my goal for the weekend and I'm pretty happy with it. Throw on some good tires and a little more speed in T3 and T10 and I'm in the low 28's and in the mix for H4.

I gotta get new rotors, the ones I used this weekend are toast. On the plus side, my pads came in from carbotech. On the minus side, they charged me full price... I'll have to call them tomorrow.

Hey Guys,
Got home ok, thanks for all the efforts in trying to get Alison and us home.
I had an awesome time! Thanks for the adventures RJ. I think we ruled Group 2 :-)
2nd lap of my 2nd session today, my brakes went completely ka-put on turn 10. Weee! Anyhow, long story short, I threw a pad somwere on the track, somehow, and the piston popped out of the caliper, spewing fluid everywhere. Got some new pads, but the caliper is screwed and won't retract. So I limpped to a spot on the paddock that I could put the car for a night, I'll pick it up tomorrow and get it all fixed up.

That's it? OK, get to the dealer and get some new ones. We can put them on sometime this week.

You probably toasted the piston anyway so you'd have to replace it. Can you get those calipers pretty easy?

tires were getting REALLY greasy so i was unsteering like a mofo in 7. i had been lifting a little to rotate the rear, but lifted a bit too much that time. spun it, flew backwards at about 80mph towards the wall, mustang behind me had no idea what to do, but thank god he avoided me... car came to a stop a few feet away from bent metal.

I had a great weekend! The guy who was supposed to be my instructor got into a bad wreck on his first session, and I ended up with a really cool instructor. He's British, and he was great- yelling "beautiful! beautiful!" as we drifted through the carousel. I learned a lot, and managed to avoid the red mist, unlike some in our group... not mentioning any New Yorkers... And, it was awesome when I dropped my instructor off and went back out solo for my last 4 laps. I was really nervous, but it was a blast being out by myself. w00t. So, with my first hit on the GFCP behind me... I also can't believe we've got until February for the next NASA event.
Avesome event, and it was great to see everyone.
