An E34 540i will be a nice car to run around in.
My friend has one with intake/exhaust/tune and a 6-speed manual. Great to drive and they look nice. It also lost a drag race to a 2006-era Maxima. Just for some perspective.

Yeah, although on their site it looks like they keep a decent amount of interesting vehicles, srt-8's cts-v, various Porsches, R8 a Maserati, etc. They even have a $10k Phaeton you can test drive while you're there. (although it has the 4.2L v8, no fun W8)

For some reason that made me think you should possibly consider an Infiniti M45? Didn't those have V8s and 4 doors? or going even older, weren't some of the Q series cars the fastest production sedans or something in the mid 90s?

Both second and third gen M45s had the same 4.5L V8 I believe. The 3rd gens looked better in my opinion. I think they still look pretty good for their age.

My friend had an 06 or 04 in black, and that was actually a pretty hot looking car as I recall. I thought pictures didnt really do them justice..his was tinted with limo tent and it had presence.
