My kid is 28 months and I impulse bought one yesterday because of this post. RE: Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - ScottyB - 01-02-2019 i wish we got ours a glide bike. took him a while to master a razor scooter and now a bike, much slower than other kids that i know had access to those glides. his 3 year old cousin is hauling ass all over on his glide. like, no fear at all. i was joking with my bro-in-law the other day that we need to play "hi, i'm (ScottyB's nephew), welcome to Jackass" every time he gets on it because he's gonna try to pull some new stunt on it. RE: Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - JPolen01 - 01-02-2019 A glide bike is definitely on the to-do list once he is at that age. I saw Peter's son riding one on FB a year or two ago and was amazed at how well he did. Never saw anything like that when I was a kid. Back in my day, we had training wheels and broke our wrists like (very little) men, dammit! I had to Google Glide Bikes. Cool concept. When I was a kid, all I had was a crap, heavy Redskins-branded mountain bike with no gears that my dad found in a dumpster behind his shop. He put training wheels on it but a gravel driveway is not conducive to learning how to bike. It's probably why I hate bikes so much even today. All of our neighbors kids have bikes but they spend 95% of their time on the electric scooters, or those crazy low-rider trike things that are like spinning death traps RE: Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - Apoc - 01-02-2019 (01-02-2019, 10:00 AM)Jake Wrote:(01-02-2019, 08:47 AM)JPolen01 Wrote: Never saw anything like that when I was a kid. How does one break wrists with training wheels? The kid loved it and called it his "dirt bicycle"... until he fell a few times. I wasn't in the room, so I asked my wife why she didn't stick close the first few times. "I didn't know he was going to fall." It's a two year old on a bike for the first time and you didn't put it together he might need a bit of help? Took it outside yesterday - now he has no interest in riding it. Learn on training wheels, ride without, things are unsteady and you fall. I didn't go to college to have to explain my hastily-worded joke. RE: Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - Apoc - 01-02-2019 Balance bikes just skip the first two steps. RE: Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - Apoc - 01-02-2019 It didn't even occur to me to check used. Prime has brainwashed me into buying new because I can get it next day. THANKS AMAZON. Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - JPolen01 - 01-02-2019 I wouldn't have thought to look used either. Dj throw that in when you bring the GT3 up[emoji1303] RE: Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - Apoc - 01-02-2019 In my defense, if there is such a thing, it was a good way to ensure I got matching green. ![]() Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - JPolen01 - 01-02-2019 But does his helmet match the bike? It's red to match the trike that he never "rides" because pushing a toddler dragging his feet sucks. Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - D_Eclipse9916 - 01-02-2019 Need me to send this to you? I just “outgreened” you not on purpose. Someone get me a can of white... ![]() RE: Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - Apoc - 01-02-2019 Those hubs need to be silver and... not gonna lie... I considered spraying the black ones on ours to silver. RE: Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - JPolen01 - 01-15-2019 So our fridge is not connected to any water line thus the ice maker is not functional. I have no idea why the previous owners never did this. Ice trays are so annoying so we have just lived without ice for 4 years. Now the wife says she wants ice. I actually bought a flex water line when we moved in, but never did anything with it. My question is - does anyone know if it is possible to tap into the cold line of my water heater? The water heater is directly beneath the fridge so I could, in theory, come right up through the floor right into the fridge. I would also like to put a filter in the line. Any ideas? The sink is across the kitchen with a door separating the fridge and sink so no easy way to get to the sink plumbing without ripping up the floor. Project Townhouse: 1st Time Buyers - Senor_Taylor - 01-15-2019 If that's the same line going to the sink, I don't see the difference. The filter is easy, just make sure your lines are long enough to easily change the filter. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk |
