She passed state inspection! The integra even made it through the town of Strasburg without a ticket!

T-minus 4 days or so before summit... that doesn't give me much time to solve one small issue...
The brakes don't feel 100% firm. It could be air in the lines but I've put a full bottle of fluid through it. Ill be running through the checklist tonight to see if its the MC, booster, or check valve.
The other funny thing the brakes are doing... when at idle, if I step on the brakes, the RPMs jump. The harder I step on them the higher it jumps. It peaks about 1500 RPM.
any ideas other than bleed the piss out of it with my second bottle? :roll:

Check valve from the line at the booster to intake manifold possibly? I'd check that first, since it's an easier fix.

It's like 4 bolts and a cotter pin... easy peasy. Might as well replace the MC while you are it, OE honda or bust.

on the CRX the bolts weren't easy to get to. and I don't know if I can get the OE MC in time. i'll run the checklist and panic (aka overnight parts) tonight.

It passed all the checks in the manual for MC, booster, and check valve. I'll chalk it all up to a poor bleed.
I have a mv8000 and a second bottle of brake fluid coming in a couple of days to bleed it one last time. I might tip this bitch on its nose to get it to bleed

Power Bleeder + Honda Master Cylinder's don't really cooperate... since ours aren't threaded MC caps. The universal cap doesn't do shit, or I've never had any luck with it.

Gotcha, how about using a hand vacuum pump on the other end to suck it out? I dunno if that's more effective than pumping the brakes.

how is that possible? you just put a little vacuum on it and work on it from the wheel well.
