It's an acquired taste Justin.. and I have a horrible thirst for it.

Welp, went ahead and put an offer in on that A4 we checked out. I figured I'll have enough time with it under warranty to really figure out or get the oil consumption documented. And again, at 1 quart every 5k miles, this thing is barely drinking. Yes, let the kook-aid flow... If the car didn't have a fancy-assed digital oil gauge, one would likely never even know. Or if the car wasn't able to go 10k between oil changes, this wouldn't be a problem. Regardless, I barely drive 5k miles in a year so we may never even have to top it off as we'll be getting the oil changed before the computer says anything.

The guy has been good with e-mail so hopefully I'll get an answer within the next few hours.

So yeah... VAG FOR LIFE.

We were really down to the A4 Avant, BMW wagon, or VW Sportwagen TDI. The Bimmer was way too hard to find, the VW is a bit boring and no cheaper than this thing even used, and a pristine/lower mileage A4, BMW, or new JSW are all $30k+.

Well played, I am sure it will be fine as long as you don't keep it out of warranty. Audi is the other brand I will consider when it is time to retire the jag in a few years.

That's 16 months. The rest of us don't have the same car buying cadence you do, Lee.

Boof...I have heard from multiple Audi owners and believe it or not several dealers that you don't want to own an Audi out of warranty. Obviously people do it but that would make me nervous.

That's why I sold my S4. I absolutely loved that car and didn't want to sell it... but I wasn't keeping those turbos outside CPO.

Congrats! You can stick a Christmas tree out of the sunroof and not have to decorate it. Dash lights will take care of that ;-)

Vurry Nice! Now take your saving and clicky back over to APR.

I smell an RS7 cooking....

I said the same about the GTI, but since the warranty quietly expired, it has run perfectly. We'll see when the day comes. A year and a half is very short ownership for me, but we'll just have to see.

Re: Help Mikey get to one car - Mike - 04-02-2014

Will be going for this. H&R OE springs (about .25" lower than the pictured car, which is on the s-line suspension) and some RS4 replicas.
