I had absolutely no clue you had done this much stuff to it...

Well that was a goal for awhile to make it look stock and surprise a lot of people. I think I accomplished it but time to step up my game

Re: Project 2.Slow Mazda3 - Senor_Taylor - 03-02-2014

So, where 'dem wheel pics?!?!?

Re: Project 2.Slow Mazda3 - rherold9 - 03-02-2014

I'm saying you gotta learn how to make a build thread. Messing with you.

Hey, Ryan. Can you host images on IMGUR from now on? Tinypic loads very slow, so every time I open this thread, I have to wait for the images to load...

Stop looking at my thread so much.... jk. Sure whatever. It is just cause they are big images and a lot of them on one page.

Mine are huge and I have more and they load fine. Maybe I have them cached at this point.

Actually yours take FOREVER.

Re: Project 2.Slow Mazda3 - SlimKlim - 03-06-2014

Good rule of thumb for internet photos is to resize them to ~1000 pixels wide before uploading them. You don't need PS, there are free programs out there that'll resize an entire folder of images in a few seconds. 1000px is still large enough to look like full size images, but not so large that'll dick up the formatting of a forum that doesn't auto-resize like this one, and they'll be smaller than ~200kb each so they'll load quickly on all but the shittiest internet connections.

Fastest way to get them online is to run them through a batch resizer, then create an account on Imgur, click & drag all of the images into the browser window, and use the create album option to keep them grouped, then click upload. Afterwards, you can click on the images to bring up the BB code, so you can just copy and paste them directly into the forum post without having to add the [ url ] tags.

I figured they were cached to my browser. I guess I'll have to resize them. They're in some ridiculous resolution. 3000xsomething, I think.

Edit: I went back and resized a ton.

Re: Project 2.Slow Mazda3 - rherold9 - 03-19-2014

Today the MSDS 4-1 header came in. Thing looks awesome. Will have to post a picture. Hopefully I'll have that installed during next weekend.

Next, I'm still waiting on getting my fenders rolled for my wheels. It is a struggle with my busy schedule during the week and the fact I haven't had a free weekend as I've been gone for spring break. If I don't get them rolled on Friday before I head to VIR I'll be getting them done
the same weekend as the header install.

I changed the oil on my car today with Penzoil Platinum and Fram filter both were on sale for a deal together. Car feels less sluggish now which is perfect for the track day coming up!

Hopefully I'll upload some pictures/videos of the track day at VIR coming up. I will be doing a Hyperdrive for my first session ever on a real track. It will be awesome to get some rides alongs in some cars on the track.
